PPPB is an audiovisual composition and performance tool made for Garry's Mod to create and play with up to 64 bots in game with MIDI.

The tracks in this album are the extracted audio files from a series of video pieces I did for PPPB, called White Room Etudes.
I did White Room Etudes before I managed to hook up MIDI to communicate with bots while I was developing PPPB. When I had found out how to summon bots to spesific coordinates with keyboard hits, I made three etudes pieces with that mechanic.
So if you watch the original video versions of them on my youtube channel, you will understand how these sounds are generated; I keep adding bots in form of squares, starting with different types of weapons, and change their weapons.
The commands I could gave to PPPB with my keyboard strokes were monophonic. What I mean with it is that "start / stop / change weapon" commands applies to all bots simultaneously (with a little big of delay sometimes, especially if spawned bot amount is too many, like 60-100). I couldn't control all of them individually.
I decided to make a music album release of etudes, because until now I always presented my PPPB works as a video projection. One of my initial ideas I considered most when I started working with PPPB was to create a new sonical experience for the audience.
And I personally think that it is very interesting to listen only the abstracted audio, without having any visual bias.
Also an advice for people: you can do abstracted listening with any video game. Just find a gameplay footage without commentary, and just listen to it without watching. You will explore many new things about the game...
